Yanomami: From Machetes to Mobile Phones – Sequel Short (2015)

 

This 8 minute short is a sequel to the film “Yanomami: From Machetes to Mobile Phones”.

 

The first segment shows changes in another Yanomami village from the filmmakers first visit in 2000 to their return in 2011

 

The second segment documents a visit to a boarding school in the Amazon for Yanomami teens set up by the Hugo Chavez government, and provides a glimpse of how the government is trying to integrate Yanomami teenagers into the Venezuelan population.
